Canning the first batch of garden grown tomato sauce!

I know this isn't the best picture. I just took the seedlings I am hardening off in for the night. My apartment decor is definitely utilitarian. Basically a place to work on art, grow a garden, and heal. It doesn't look cute, and it is a bit messy, and, currently, there are rats in the walls and attic, but, my landlord is kind, I have access to a dog for walking, and it is a good place to catch my breath, heal, and grow. It is a beautiful place to live for a time and I am dreaming again, both literally and figuratively.

I am have been moving this month! I will have a new garden to share soon.

I only had one chickpea plant come up from the saved seed that I planted this year in my little community garden plot. I went to weed and harvest lettuce and snap peas today and saw that the chickpea is blooming! I will be saving this for seed.
