Welcome to Red Twill Cottage! At the time of this writing, Red Twill Cottage has yet to be. I am in the process of finding home. Before I launch into what that is all about, I will give a brief backstory of who I am and how I got to this point in time. My … Continue reading Finding Home

I am have been moving this month! I will have a new garden to share soon.
I only had one chickpea plant come up from the saved seed that I planted this year in my little community garden plot. I went to weed and harvest lettuce and snap peas today and saw that the chickpea is blooming! I will be saving this for seed.
I am so excited! I found a community garden plot a short walk from my new place. It is half a plot but it will do until I have my own garden again. Now off to start seeds!🌱 #gardenjoy #communitygarden #aplacetogrow #organicgardening #gardenhope
I am getting back to posting on my art blog and am sharing this one here. Pruning Back a Life. The link will be in the comments.
Making my final harvest for this garden. Purple potatoes, fingerlings, purple carrots. For my healing process, I have gone through many cycles of forgiveness for the painful choices my ex husband has made. Forgiveness does not mean one condones toxic behaviors though. I think my final act of forgiveness will conclude when I have my first harvest in my new garden, wherever that may be... For now, I will enjoy my small harvest. It is a triumph as always. ❤️ #gardenharvest #veganicgardening #lifechanges #divorce #purplepotatoes #purplecarrots #ozettefingerlings
It has been awhile since I posted here. I didn’t have much of a garden this year as my life was turned upside down this past spring. That said, as what little garden I had grew and produced, so did I. ❤️ I harvested garlic earlier and one beautiful purple carrot. I also harvested enough dry beans, three differed varieties or so, for my Winter Solstice meal. Much to my surprise, I am harvesting popcorn grown in a teeny tiny bed. I will add it to my Solstice meal or perhaps Thanksgiving.
